Later this Summer, I am going to give up using the internet for anything but schoolwork and occasionally looking up restuarants and shops.
I want to spend more time outside, with family, learning new things. A few events that have happened recently have made me wish I spent more time with certain people. And I really wish I could change that.
The past year has gone so quick, and I don't feel like I acheived that much. I realised that I spend hours a week, not even on MSN, which I don't possess, doing pointless things on the internet. And have realised that I was perfectly glad in my childhood, when I barely knew how to log on. And so were my parents, and their parents and theirs too,..
So I am going to spend time out on bike rides, seeing friends face to face, swimming, riding.. It's light in the evenings, it's warmer every day, and there are so many beautiful things to look at this time of year. Heck, I am half way towards thirty!!!
I won't be a child for much longer, so I am going to spend every Summer being childish. I don't want a modern childhood to remember.
My question is, what do you remember doing when you were younger to keep yourself occupied. I never use mobile phones anyway.
I need some new ideas of how to fill my time, I want a more enriched life. Learning to cook better, birdwatching, whatever. New hobbies, past-times, time-fillers..
I think I would be happier if I didn't spend every this time inside.
What did you do when you were longer, before the cyber boom?
xx
*When you were younger?
by the way, I am a teenager living in English countryside, but I can receive the bus to the city/into town
Nicholas, the horse idea couldn't be moer appropriate.
My grandparents possess a horse that was supposed to be for my mom and I, but she hurt her hand. And I lost my confidence.
I could relearn those riding skills I once had with my aunt and mom.
Thank you for the superb idea!
Sailing sounds like a beautiful idea. I do not live by the sea, but I would adore to do it on holiday. For a credit crunch alternative, we are probably having a simple seaside trip this year.
When my mum was younger, she lived on a farm, and they used a boat on the river. Perhaps that would be fun!
Oh I am so pleased with every these ideas. Thank you every!!
